well i should be doing laundry and packing.  today around 7:30ish i am meeting a group of ladies at starbucks and we are driving to a cabin on the beach.  we are all very excited.  no kids.  no husbands.  just friends.  it's finally here.  yay.

i know that i am going to miss the girls tremendously... however, i feel that i need to miss them and that they need to miss me for a bit.  i think it'll all do us some good.  poor mike.

i won't be back till sunday.

i've been talking to a girlfriend who lives out of state alot lately.  it's funny that when she lived local we weren't as close, now that there is distance we talk more often and seem to have built a really great friendship.  i also think that when she lived local there was another "friend" that got in the way of what our friendship could be.  not that i'm happy to see this other friend out of the picture, i pray that she & her family are well.  but i am thankful for the depth the friendship with Kathi has gotten.

You Passed 8th Grade Math
Congratulations, you got 10/10 correct!

Originally it was 7/10... So I went and retook it... guess i haven't forgotten as much as i thought i had. lol.  Guess who will be helping the girls with their maths homework?  Mike...don't think so.

I've been offline for a few days.  It's been hectic and busy... and just life.  I feel refreshed and ready for what life has to lay before me now. I feel I've taken care of a few things and feel my heart filling with the Lords spirit.  Life is good.

Friday went out with my step sister and 3 of her friends.  We went to a casino and bet $10  obviously we came out with no extra.  Had us a few drinks and just some good conversation.  We came back to my sisters place and watched Fear Factor (couples).  Was happy to see our non favourite couple leave.  Went to dennys for "breakfast".

Sat & Sun I worked.  Nothing exciting there.  Today I took Shylynn in for her 4 year check up.  She is 43 lbs 43 inches.  It was so stressful for her (and me).  Specially when they poked her finger for blood.  It was a bleeder and before we knew it it was running down the finger between her fingers and in her hand.  Reanne's response "Oh my gosh, THAT is way worse than mine was".  URGH. lol.  Kids.  Obviously that didn't help the situation.  A bandaid later and some hugs she was okay.  Dr came in and said she was perfect (like I didn't know that hee hee).  She is "due" for 3 shots and 1 optional one, but he said it wasn't going to be required till after she's 5.  Think we'll wait.  Then after the appointment, I had to drive 45 miles to drop the girls off at my sister in laws so that I could be at work on time and Mike could have his crown prep done.  He picked them up after and brought them home.  The things we parents find ourselves doing.

Getting excited for my holiday.  Going to a cabin with a group of wonderful faith filled women.  Some I know, a few will be new to me.  It is going to be good.  We leave thursday night and won'tbe back till Sunday.  No kids.  No hubby's.   I'll miss the girls (and Mike) but I need this time to really soak up in Gods love and these friendships I have.

No cigarettes yesterday and only one today.  Very proud of me.

You Are 24% Paranoid Schizophrenic
You're pretty grounded, though you have your occasional paranoid moments.
Just make sure to ignore those voices in your head!

But the voices in my head are my friends!!!!

Nothing new or exciting to report.  The girls have been helping me with laundry today.  They helped sort colours and then fold some towels and then put all their own clothes away.  Of course I'm pretty particular about how and where they go in the drawers that when they are outside playing I will go in and straighten them up!  But they don't need to know that right now.  As they get older I'll expect more from them.

We have recently began giving the girls pocket money.  They each have their own monthly calendar and earn stickers for doing chores and helping out around the house or doing nice things for their sisters.  Then at the end of the month we cash out their stickers.  10 cents per age per day they received stickers.  Half must go in their piggy bank which is used for savings / buying others gifts... something other than for themselves... and the other half can go in their purse to spend.... Obviously due to their ages the money never makes it to the purse, they spend it the same day at our weekly trip to Wal Mart.  If they whine about doing chores they don't get a sticker but still have to do the chore.  It seems to be working so far.  Even Katera gets involved and wants stickers.
